Cdr Sudarshan Chakrapani (Chax) brings the Armed Forces' discipline with strong management and marketing acumen. He is known for putting things straight with astounding clarity of thoughts. Chax served the Indian Navy for 24 long years as Lieutenant Commander before spending another 12 long years in the corporate world as a Corporate Strategy and Marketing Professional. Retiring from the corporate world in December 2018, Chax is now wearing the hat of a Mentor and a Consultant at Markiverse Media.
In his previous corporate avatars, Chax was Vice President and Head of Customer Experience Management and Marketing Automation, delivering over 150 million USD in “influence revenue” over 6 months, implementing Marketing Automation platform (Oracle Eloqua) with over 1000 leads and 80 opportunities. One of his campaigns was shortlisted for the GLOBAL MARQUEE 2018 award by Oracle (only 5 best campaigns globally in the year are shortlisted for MARQUEE award).
As VP and Head, Marketing, Communications Group, Chax managed the marketing for the Communications Group that accounts for over USD 2 billion of Tech Mahindra’s revenue (52% + of overall revenue of USD 4 Bn) through ABM, Events, Analyst & Media Relations, and Brand Creation.
As VP and Head, Customer Experience Management, Chax delivered over 700 million USD of “influenced revenue over 3 years in a customer facing role, made presentations to customers (both prospects and existing) on TechM and its capabilities, cutting across vertical domains and horizontal competencies.
As VP and Head, Brand Management, he led the Relationship part and interacted with the customer (generally internal) to manage internal communications for over 88000 associates covering campaigns, mailers, newsletters, etc., short movies as curtain raisers / teasers for both internal and external audiences, external customer connect activities like Futurescapes and Futurescapes Express.
Chax has Master’s degree in Business Administration in HR and Marketing from IGNOU and is a Certified Business Administrator from Management Development Institute (MDI), Gurgaon, besides being recognized as part of Global Business Leadership (CGBL) (21 (Global) and Harvard Business School Publishing).Back
